Ms. McNulty graduated cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center and received her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.   I think Shannon and her team are the most talented estate lawyers on the East Coast!  I am married to a lawyer and I was referred to them with high praise by my sister-in-law who is herself married to a lawyer. We sought a referral when we realized we needed help with estate planning. All of us still talk about how Shannon and her Village Law Firm provided incredible service, acumen, and also incredible empathy and enthusiasm for what they do so well.  Shannon did our consultation and she is so warm and personable while remaining extremely thorough and detailed.

They have a very reasonably priced package to set up the whole gamut that parents of three young kids need: living trust, power of attorney, health care proxy, etc., personalized to our situation and cultural considerations.  Also pleasantly surprising during this process was the support we received to put these new legal documents into action, namely, how to move different types of assets and bank accounts into these trusts, when to do it, how to do it etc. As a team to get you to your end point, they work very well together.   As a widow, I was not at all looking forward to updating my will and other legal documents.  The law firms that I had worked with previously were stuffy and impersonal, so I was expecting a similar experience this time.  My experience with The Village Law Firm could not have been more different.  From the first phone call, everyone was friendly and empathetic.  Talking to the lawyer was almost like talking to a good friend, but one who was an expert in all estate planning matters!

One of the reasons I chose The Village Law Firm is that they focus only on estate planning, so I was comfortable that they would have the necessary expertise in this particular area of law – and I wasn’t disappointed.  Not only did they help put the right documents in place, but they went the extra mile to make sure everything would work if needed.  They even dealt directly with my bank (which had put me on hold forever) to retitle my accounts.
