Isabel Munárriz Arrieta brings over 13 years of legal experience, specializing in representing non-U.S. clients in need of U.S. legal support. Her extensive background spans key practice areas, including tax, corporate, securities law compliance, intellectual property, litigation, and white-collar defense. Isabel has been a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex U.S. sanctions, international tax matters, and major bankruptcy proceedings, including the Lehman Brothers case.

Before joining The Village Law Firm, Isabel served as Counsel at renowned firms such as Brown Rudnick and Chadbourne & Parke, where she advised clients ranging from bondholders of Venezuelan debt to prominent educational institutions expanding their U.S. presence. She also has a deep understanding of digital asset regulation and intellectual property protection, which makes her an asset to clients dealing with innovative and evolving sectors.

Isabel’s international experience includes working in Barcelona, Spain, where she provided legal counsel in areas like tax, finance, corporate, and bankruptcy, and in São Paulo, Brazil, where she advised Spanish clients on mergers and acquisitions and foreign investment projects.

Committed to giving back to the community, Isabel has maintained an active pro bono practice, focusing on immigration matters in partnership with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND). Isabel is fluent in both English and Spanish, which enables her to provide exceptional legal services to a diverse clientele.

Isabel earned her LL.M. in International Taxation from New York University School of Law, where she was awarded prestigious scholarships for her academic excellence. She is admitted to practice law in New York and Spain.
